CJL
Travis Hodgkins, Attorney

We've been there.
Your case is our case.

Travis Hodgkins founded Civil Justice to answer a need for tough, knowledgeable, and affordable legal protection for employees and consumers. This is a need he has felt personally, both as an hourly worker and as a consumer.

The understanding he shares with his clients makes him a compassionate legal ally and a tireless advocate for the employees and consumers he serves.

Informed by deep experience, driven by his clients’ courage, and inspired by the civil rights victories of the past, Travis looks forward to continuing to fight for the underdog for years to come.

More About Travis

Travis has devoted his legal career to protecting the rights of employees and consumers through class action lawsuits. Having achieved successful results in a number of high-profile cases against large corporations,  he has become known as a fearless and aggressive litigator.

While working at a corporate defense firm early in his legal career, Travis had the opportunity to observe the kinds of tactics companies use to intimidate and deny the rights of their employees and consumers. He saw first-hand just how unfairly the deck was stacked against everyday people. After two years working for corporations, it was clear to Travis that his calling was on the other side: representing the underdog in the ongoing struggle for civil justice.

Though law is Travis’s passion as well as his career of choice, he is also an accomplished writer. In addition to founding and co-authoring the Transnational Law Blog, which was recognized as one of the top 100 legal blogs in the nation, Travis has published short stories and written award-winning screenplays. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Red Hen Press, the largest non-profit literary press in Los Angeles.

His other hobbies include aviation, martial arts, sailing, SCUBA diving, and international travel.
